Terms and Conditions for "Share your ideas about Gov e-Services" Contest
- By participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all amendments and replacements made from time to time.
- This contest is open to Singapore citizens and permanent residents until 18th August 2008.
- Multiple entries are allowed but you are limited to one prize.
- Incomplete entries are not eligible and will be disqualified. IDA reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entry deemed incomplete or unsuitable at its sole and absolute discretion.
- Notwithstanding anything herein, IDA reserves the right at any time at its sole and absolute discretion to:
- cancel or modify this contest;
- add to, delete from or vary these Terms and Conditions without prior notification, including but not limited to, the eligibility criteria, the selection of winners, and the timing and venue of any act to be done, and you shall be bound by such determination and/or amendments; and
- substitute, withdraw or cancel any prize without prior notice and without having to disclose any reason and without any payment of compensation whatsoever.
- Winning entries will be evaluated based on innovativeness, feasibility of implementation (referring to those which can be considered for implementation in the short-term, ie. 1-2 years.), and potential cost savings resulted from the implementation of the ideas.
- All information submitted to IDA via this contest shall be deemed and remain the property of IDA. IDA shall not be subject to any obligations of confidentiality and proprietary regarding submitted information except as otherwise specifically agreed or required by law, and IDA shall be free to use, for any purpose, any idea, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in information a visitor to this site provides IDA through this site, without compensation being paid to anyone in any medium in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
- IDA reserves the right to draw reserve winners to replace any winners subsequently found to be uncontactable or disqualified.
- Results will be announced on the eCitizen portal ( www.ecitizen.gov.sg ) on 25th August 2008.
- The prize(s) offered are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. Each winner shall accept any prize on an "as is where is" basis. IDA gives no warranties in relation to any of the prizes offered, and in particular, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, IDA makes no warranty regarding the fitness for purpose, quality or merchantability of the prizes, whether express or implied, statutory or otherwise.
- Notwithstanding anything contained herein, in no circumstances shall IDA be liable in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty) or otherwise howsoever, and whatever the cause thereof, (i) for any increased costs or expenses, or (ii) any loss of profit, business, contracts, revenues, or anticipated savings, or (iii) for any special indirect or consequential damage of any nature whatsoever.
- All winners will be notified by email. IDA is not responsible for any inability or failure to contact a prize winner for any reason including the failure by a participant to provide correct contact information.
- Prize winners must produce proof of identification to claim their prizes within a timeframe stipulated in the written notification referred to above. If prizes are not collected within such time or 2 months from the date the results are announced (whichever is the later), the prizes will be forfeited and donated to charity.
- If you are below the age of 21 years, you must obtain the consent of your parent / authorised guardian to enter this contest.
- This contest is open to all except employees of IDA, event management companies and/or advertising agencies directly involved in the organisation of this lucky draw.
- Any decision by IDA on all matters relating to this contest, is final, conclusive and binding on all participants and winners, and no correspondence will be entertained.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by Singapore law. You irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any term herein.
