How to apply for SingPass

SingPass is your common user ID and password used to access the Singapore government’s online services. It is used for transactions such as checking your CPF account, paying your income tax and registering your new vehicle.

Forgot your SingPass?

If you forget your SingPass, you can get a new one mailed to you by post. This will take 4 working days (local addresses only).

To retrieve your new SingPass immediately the next time you forget it, register your local mobile phone number.

Step 1: Check your eligibility

Note

You must be at least 15 years old to apply for SingPass.

Please have your identification documents on hand before you apply for your SingPass:

If you are a/an... ... you must have these documents

Singapore citizen or permanent resident

NRIC or passport

Employment pass, personalised employment pass or EntrePass holder

Long term pass card
or
A valid work pass from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and passport

S pass holder

S pass card

Work permit holder

Work permit card and a printout of your worker particulars from Work Permit Online. The printout will indicate if you are eligible for a SingPass.

Dependent pass holder (sponsored by an employment pass,
personalised employment pass, EntrePass or S pass holder)

Long term pass card
or
A valid dependent pass from MOM and passport

Step 2: Apply for your SingPass

In person

You can receive your SingPass immediately by applying in person at your neighbourhood community club or other locations.

Through the Internet

If you apply online, your SingPass will be mailed to you within 4 working days.
